Immunity Challenge #1

So it looks like no Dave, and we don't have many people here.

I'll be happy to jump in as leader for this, if nobody has any objections.

Also, we should probably sit Paloma out. Or at least make sure she's in a pair so she doesn't HAVE to do a puzzle, you know?

Wait, there's only me, Nay, Gregg, Paloma, and Patty here.

I'm good at puzzles so I'm okay with being the leader or doing anything else.

Don't worry about it! Ben is here now so we have another person.

Is anyone out there?

Hey guys! I'm not very tech savvy and I'm not sure how to repost these puzzle images. If possible, I should be paired up with someone who knows how to do that.

Cirie, if you're using Mozilla Firefox right click and use the Copy Image Location option. Then put that link in between the tags and you should be fine.

If Cirie can't do the images, are you able to do it in full?

I'll try to follow Naonka's directions. I don't have Firefox, but I do have Chrome and Safari.

I believe it should be the same thing then.
Try right clicking on your avatar and finding a way of being able to copy your own avatar's image link. And just add it in between the tags. You should test it not before we begin.

Basically just right click, copy image location, and past it in image tags.

Patty posted this helpful tidbit at the tribe forum:

Code: Select all
    [img]*image link here*[/img][img][/img][img][/img][img][/img]

    [img][/img][img][/img][img][/img][img][/img]

    [img][/img][img][/img][img][/img][img][/img]

    [img][/img][img][/img][img][/img][img][/img]

So just fill your puzzle in there. You just have to post the link between the [img] [/ img] part for it to work!

Ah. It seems like the link of your avatar won't work on the image tags since it doesn't end in a .jpg or .png format.

But you have the point of it. You will do that same thing with the puzzle pieces.

Cirie, try reading this real quick:

Brenda Lowe wrote:There are times in this game where it will be critical for you to be able to post an image, sometimes against the clock. This is probably baby-steps for some of you, but just to make sure you're all up to speed, here's a quick step by step guide.

1) First things first, you're gonna need to grab the URL of the image you want. For example, we'll use my hot hot Avatar.

Now you can go the long way round, and View the image (here for example; http://www.strandedgaming.com/costarica ... daLowe.jpg ) and then you can go up to the address bar at the top and then copy the URL.. Or there is an even quicker way too.

Simply right-click on the image you need, and look for the option that says "copy image location", like so;

Image

This will save the URL to your computer's clipboard. So far so good, now to post it.

2) Go to your reply-box, and look along the top for the button marked "Img", like so;

Image

Click that. It will create a set of image tags, that look like this;

Code: Select all
[img][/img]

Of course you could type those out just as easily, if you find it quicker :o

Now you need to "paste" your URL between these image tags. (i.e. Either Right click > Paste, or use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+V (Cmd+V on a Mac)) which ought to give you this;

Code: Select all
[img]http://www.strandedgaming.com/costarica/arena/images/avatars/gallery/Hosts/BrendaLowe.jpg[/img]

All good?

3) Click Submit!

You should end up with this!

Piece of cake right?
Do practice here if you need to. We won't laugh. (..much :P )
