Making Peace

Making Peace

I actually sent her a really long PM that I don't feel like repeating again. If someone could help me retrieve it, that would be wonderful.

I know you're an intelligent person, and many factors contributed to us simply not working together like I thought we would. Perhaps it's an ORGY thing (which, I guess is fair, considering your environment influences your attitudes), or maybe my reputation in the various games you've co-hosted, or taken part of (which, again, fair to a certain extent) but I had every desire to play a Knives Chau like game again and just fly UTR and be loyal because I didn't have the time for anything else. Obviously that's not how things turned out, but that's this game sometimes.

Anyhow, when/if you're ready to talk strategy, we can. I'm going to throw it out there that you should work with Frank, but I'm sure you already knew that.

Brenda, if you think I took our argument seriously in any shape or form, you really don't know me. It was fun, and I obviously picked you for a reason.

I'll fill you in:

Frank/Teresa/Gina/Ami formed an alliance. So, when I was trying to talk to Gina about strategy, or even Frank, they'd avoid the topic, so I assumed I was on the outs, but wasn't sure who had the majority. No one really talked strategy with me except a little bit of Teresa and Erica, and I guess at some point during the day you left, people got talking and approached Erica and I to take you out to not make it a Brenda game, which I thought was a horrible decision. Anyhow, just after the challenge, I assume Frank and Gina were told by Ami/Teresa, and they didn't like the idea and approached me, and truthfully I wasn't exactly sure what the best move was. Do I force a tie for someone I don't have an alliance with and with two people who won't talk strategy with me? (which sucked because I threw myself under the bus and told Paloma not to pick me as a refuge last time we played together) I felt like forcing a tie and potentially throwing away an alliance for 3 people who may or may not already have them, just didn't seem like a smart move. So, I did it, knowing full well you were going to be selected and felt like shit.

Second round, Frank flashes his idol and goes nuts; Gina accidentally reveals she and Frank were aligned with Teresa and Ami, and due to the fear of the idol, Gina is voted off.

The last round, Frank and I decide to work together to change the game, except he wanted to work with Katie too, who I didn't trust at all, so I decide to try and get Ami/Teresa to vote Katie to save Teresa (when I just wanted Katie gone) and Teresa pulled out an idol and sent Katie home.

That was a response to your PM.

I've heard that Frank has been telling people through partners that I'm not to be trusted, which means it was likely one-sided. *shrugs* What else is new?

I did read that PM, but I was waiting for Probst to fix the peach on white PMs over here. Plus I wanted to hear from Frank his side too. He says I should build bridges, and that you're the only one of any of them not to have Brendaphobia (which will be followed by Frankophobia in his words :D ). By the sound of it my guesses were miles off about what happened next over there. You and Erica aren't the bffs I thought for a start? Voting on opposite sides at the last vote?

I *think* I'm pretty set up over here. But I *thought* I was pretty set over there too. At least here I'm getting into actual alliances though so that's a start. I blew off the board to play pokémon the last day so I need to catch up over here before I'm certain.

Tell me this, what do you know about idols? I thought it was a leader bonus, and that Frank played one on Teresa, and that would mean Sean & Mia have one each still. He is claiming that's not the case, and that Teresa found her own somewhere. Which would mean god knows who or where there might be others :/

Frank's idol was apparently fake. I say apparently, because Frank is certifiably insane and could've just held on to it. Just be careful about idols. There is no leader bonus; they may have gotten clues, I don't know. I have no idea how Teresa found hers, or when, but from what Ami told me, it was without a clue aka there is no secret board. It must be hidden in text or something.

Actually, Katie was probably just as close as I was to Erica, but I had no idea until a bit later on. What happened was, I wanted to work with Frank, but when we talked about it, he said he had someone else who was interested in working the three of us but couldn't reveal who. My target was Katie (anti-Brenda/anti-Teresa psycho) but I was scared to tell that to Frank just in case, and when Katie messaged me seeing if I would flip the game again, I knew it was her. We formed a 4way alliance against Ami/Teresa, and I didn't trust Katie at all, but wasn't sure Erica was closer to me, so I decided to make a move against her without telling Erica. Turns out, a lot of people started to mistrust Katie. *shrugs*

I don't think I'm set up over on my tribe. I literally have no idea what's going on for the most part. I still talk to the my original tribe members and Christy, but obviously Christy isn't going to vote with me, so I don't know. I've just been incredibly busy and hoping someone else will build something I can attach myself to.

Motherfuckin' Katie.

Damn I was so clueless about that vote. I had her down as the "Et tu, Brenda" one, and was wondering who got in her ear with exactly what because I'd spent all weekend making sure no-one started a "Katie isn't the most active" conversation. I guess she was still stinging after Refuge, but I was genuinely looking forward to being on her side from the beginning this time. Ew. icon_rolleyes

We have the easiest boot over here in Danger Dave Ball. There was a little murmering of the blues wanting to keep Blue string, but like, why the hell would Dave be loyal to a tribe he's had next to no dealings with? That was quashed pretty quickly. Lots of little factions springing up now though. The second boot will dictate the rest of the boot order over here, and I have no real clue as to what will happen between today and our first real TC.

I don't know the dynamics of your tribe at all. That's basically tonight for us, it looks like. I think a solid group of them is targeting an old purple, which is to be expected. Which one I have no idea, but for what I predict, it'll probably be one of us leaving. It looks to be one of those "I'll vote with you" even though they all already have an alliance votes. Like in the first TC we went to in Refuge. I'm hoping it doesn't end up with the same conclusion (lol) but I wouldn't be shocked.

You too! Though I doubt you'll need it -- no one is going to vote a huge challenge asset first. icon_troll

Too soon?

Oh mai. That is not surprising. Although any result would not have been surprising.

Still waiting over here. Topic of conversation is Willard & Erica's nipples.

It was and it wasn't. It's like, you're expecting things to go sour all the time, and when it doesn't, you're left a bit shocked. Sean told me he was in an alliance but couldn't say with whom, so it is what it is, even if he was a nice kid.

Lol nipples.

Yup. I'm basically doing the same, but there is nothing I can do about it. Real life is squeezing the life out of me.

Looks like you'll probably get another person mutinying over to your tribe. IMO, it'll probably be Mia. Does that help or hurt your situation?

I really don't know icon_laughing The partners twist mixing with the mutiny twist complicate things by a silly amount.

It is kinda constantly in turmoil over here, and the sides won't really solidify until we see a vote happen. And god knows what the tribe make-up will be by then. Sure you might find yourself jumping across by tomorrow.

Oh also, from Frank. I told him about the below;

ANd he said this;

I think Mia screwed me over or something. I heard the same stuff. Somewhere something went wrong on that tribe. I told Mia to join the Masilaca ladies cause they are her best chance, I think she went ahead and targeted them like a moron then blamed it on me. Sigh. Please clear that up with Taj if you can.

Good grief don't.

Well I won't stop you, but I'm enjoying the casualness of this tribe too much without the sudden masalica-ing up of it that would come. icon_laughing

I think honestly, if you did jump over, most people's first reaction would be "Here's the consensus boot that would keep everyone happy"

HOW RUDE icon_lol icon_lol

I don't even see how I'm that hated, but if you don't think it'll help your game at all, and you think you'll be fine for votes, I'll stay.

This bit^

Up to you. I think we could win a lot, buying time. If we lost tonight though and you were straight over here, most everyone is still under the assumption that we are the least mutual partnership in the game.

Is that a bad thing, though? Like, I get that I cause drama, but lets be honest Brenda, out of the 3 games we've played together, 2 of them I've been extremely loyal to you (quitting in Aussie when people wanted you gone and refusing to turn on my alliance with you, Natalie, Erinn to get refuged). I truly do want to make up for not forcing a tie for you, and while I think this could give you an opportunity to just take me out, I truly don't think that's a good move for you.

I'm a loyal vote to you, I would be pissing off the rest of my Masilaca "girls", and most people hate me apparently, meaning you can easily use me as a shield (which you and Frank will need)
